Business challenge

The customer aimed to enhance their reporting process by efficiently managing the large volumes of data that were overloading their BI system and causing delays in generating reports. Their goal was to expedite decision-making by leveraging real-time Business Intelligence capabilities, consolidating data from multiple databases into a single
repository for comprehensive reporting, and ensuring minimal delays in data delivery with full data consistency in the reporting database.

Solution

The analytics workload was shifted to Oracle GoldenGate to alleviate the strain on the BI system. By implementing GoldenGate’s many-to-one style replication, minimal second latency was ensured. Key steps included:

• Modifying the database model for improved efficiency.
• Implementing transformations to facilitate accurate and timely reporting.
• Utilizing Oracle Analytics Publisher connected to the new consolidated database for seamless reporting, integrating data from multiple systems.
