KANSAS CITY,MO. (July 11, 2022) – EPCOR® – Your Electronic Payments Core of Knowledge announced its acquisition of the COCHA, The Central Oklahoma Clearing House Association. The acquisition, effective July 1, includes COCHA’s Fraud Alert Service and Settlement Service. EPCOR was previously named the Management Member of COCHA in October of 2019 and carried out day-to-day operations of COCHA since.
As a not-for-profit payments association that assists more than 1,800 financial institutions and affiliated organizations of all sizes in maintaining compliance, reducing risk and fraud and enhancing the overall operational efficiency of the payment systems, EPCOR is well positioned to further enhance the services previously provided by COCHA. EPCOR is currently working to expand participation of the Fraud Alert Service, now called the EPCOR Alert Service, throughout the EPCOR footprint. New educational programs will also be made available to help members mitigate payment systems risks and fraud.
“If there is one thing constant in the payments industry it is the never-ending and increasingly ruthless onslaught of fraud attacks. I am excited to bring a solution to our members that will help them work together to combat fraud and minimize the impact to their financial institutions. As cyber-criminals continue to network together through the dark web, we must also collaborate to ward off their efforts,” remarks Susan Doyle, President & CEO, EPCOR.
The acquisition of COCHA furthers EPCOR’s mission of providing members payments expertise through education, advice and member representation. To learn more about the EPCOR Alert Service visit epcor.org/alert.
